Guidelines for Scholarship Candidates

 

Airman First Class Nathaniel H. McDavitt Memorial Scholarship Fund, Inc., the Scholarship Awards Program.  Under the Program, scholarships will be awarded to graduating high school seniors who have demonstrated exemplary qualities of Character, Drive and Service.       

 

Available Scholarships:

The Directors will determine the number and amount of scholarships to be awarded on a yearly basis by evaluating existing funds and qualified candidates. 

 

Program Guidelines & Priorities: 

·         Seeking graduating seniors with a record of volunteerism in the community in non-school sponsored activities and participation in extracurricular school activities.   We are looking for and will award scholarships to citizens who achieve and demonstrate character, drive, and service.

·         Applicants must be graduating high school senior planning to attend a 2 or 4-year college or technical school.

·         Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the college and not to the student. It will be the student’s responsibility to provide school information to the Directors for distribution of the funds to their college or technical school.

·         Application deadline is annually on January 15, by 4:00 p.m.  Late applications are not accepted.

The applications will be reviewed and recipients will be selected by a committee consisting of directors of the scholarship fund.  The scholarships will be awarded annually in March.  For further information about the organization, refer to IamNathan.org.

(Recipients may waive photo due to unusual or compelling circumstances.)  Recipients will be listed on the scholarship funds website: IamNathan.org and other social media.

 

I hereby understand that if chosen as a scholarship recipient, according to the scholarship policy, I must be present at any potential awards ceremony, or reception to receive my scholarship award.
